Maggie R. Simoneaux-Cuaso is the manager of Simoneaux Law Firm, a multi-jurisdictional administrative law firm. She practices administrative and health care law, with her primary focus on professional licensure and professional license defense. Maggie represents health care professionals, such as, physicians, nurses, and pharmacists in licensing disputes and disciplinary actions, ranging from standard of care violations to chemical dependency. She also represents health care professionals with derivative issues related to the receipt of a disciplinary order and within the scope of their health care practice, including peer review, medical staff privileges, network agreements, contract negotiations, and clinic and pharmacy operations.
Maggie is a member of the American Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section, the Texas Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section, the Austin Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section, the California Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section, and the Louisiana Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section.
She earned her J.D. in 2008 from Western State College of Law, magna cum laude, where she served as the Year in Review Editor for the Western State College of Law, Law Review. She is admitted to practice in the state courts of Texas, California, and Louisiana, as well as, the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Prior to committing her practice exclusively to administrative law, Maggie experienced tremendous success as a civil litigator representing clients in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and family law cases. Maggie has successfully represented clients at trial, mediation, and binding arbitration. In her prior practice she lectured on legal topics relating to family law matters, such as “A Child Centered Approach to Divorce” at California State University. In 2016, Maggie was recognized by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys as one of the Ten-Best in California for client satisfaction.
